LOADED CANDLE HOLDER

An elegant and clean design to burn one pair of candles and store a spare pair.
LOADED lets romantic nights linger and makes stormy
nights safer without the hassle of searching for replacement candles.
This design has been entered to a competition called ‘Curse the Darkness’
organized by American Design Club (AmDC) and Roll/Hill.
Loaded was selected to be exhibited at the Site Unseen Offsite event during New York Design Week 2015.

SALT & PEPPER SHAKER IN ONE

Salt & Pepper in One is a container that unites salt and pepper in one piece. Tilt one end for salt, the other for pepper.

This design has been debut at the 2006 ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) in New York during New York Design Week and has been picked up by MoMa (Museum of Modern Art) Design Store in New York. It went into production in 2008 and sold at MoMa Store, Walker Art Museum, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, MOCA Cleveland, IKSV (Istanbul), Arango, etc.

The product was exhibited at various shows, exhibitions and fairs as such Talents at Ambiente in Frankfurt, Germany, Designers Block during London Design Week, MoMa Destionation: Istanbul series, Architectural Digest Home Design Show, Designers Spirit, Turkey, A+ Talents Section during New York Gift Fair, etc.

ASA-SELECTION COMMISSION

I designed several products for ASA-Selection, a ceramic/ gift and manufacturing company. This design is the ceramic version of the salt and pepper shaker in one which was produced in steel.

The designs were exhibited at Ambiente, Frankfurt Fair (2011). ASA’s 2013 catalogues feature the lines I designed.

CO-CANE WALKING STICK

Inspired by the mutual support and dependability that gives a great sense of security within our relationships. Co-Cane aims to remind us how important it is to have someone beside us, both in good times and in bad.

Warning: Co-Cane may not be addictive but may cause a possible dependence. Use often and when needed.

Co-Cane was selected to exhibit during Tokyo Design Week in 2011 for Arigato Project which aimed to support Japan after the March 11th Tsunami. Arigato Project got published by Gestalten World-Wide. The book is available online.

WOUNDED VASE

A simple form reminding us of love and how love requiring great care at all times when handled by us. A fragile medium integrating different marks, cuts placed on different locations on the form to imitate as scars, wounds that would point the fragility of love and taken as a reminder for the theme ‘Love with Care’.

Warning: Wounds do not refer to the past incidents but present to increase the awareness of one another. They also do not imply emotional weaknesses but unique practices we each experience with love.

It got selected to exhibit during NYC Gift Fair at “ A+: The Young Designer’s Platform” along with 6 young designers from different countries. During its debut, I got commissioned by Guggenheim Museum to produce the vase as part of their new exhibition called ‘Haunted’ for Spring 2010.

THE CHOPSTICK:STICK2GETHER

Elegant and playful...for all the foods we LOVE. The Chopstick:stick2gether is an eating utensil inspired by the elaborate ritual of a tradition that has been carried to our time without loosing its meaning. The time taken during this tangible ritual of using two simple sticks, creating the need for each other to complete the sequence of a movement which turn each bite into an elegant gesture. A silent gesture encourages the dynamics of togetherness.

The piece was exhibited at NYC Gift Fair at “ A+: The Young Designer’s Platform” and Talents at Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt, Germany.

CLAMP-IT

Clamp it is a desktop organizer designed to eliminate the clutter by securing all the belongings in one spot. Unlike other desktop organizers, its ease of application turns this experience into a practical solution while making it a constant on the work surface.

Simply fill it in with office tools and clamp it, securing it on your desktop surface. Its mobility provides maximum efficiency to the user, who would not want to be fixated to just one work space.

Clamp-it design debuted at the Model Citizen Exhibition during New York Design Week (2010). In 2012, the piece was chosen to exhibit at Fun & Functional themed exhibition. The event was a collaboration of Knock Knock (LA based stationary company) and AMDC (American Design Club).
